Running for a plane
On recurring dreams and finding the right support for your interior design business.

Hello,
Do you have recurring dreams? I have a few.
One of mine is a variation on a theme. I’m running through an airport, trying to catch a flight I’m about to miss. I’ve forgotten to pack, I can’t find my gate, I’m on an escalator going the wrong way, or stuck the wrong side of a door that won’t open.
It’s an anxiety dream of course, but not about travel - it’s about time. That feeling that everything is just about in reach, but moving faster than I can keep up.
Last week I had it again and, as I reflected on this latest occurence, I realised it was probably linked to a few recent hospital appointments and the waiting that comes with test results. There’s always an undercurrent of worry. But it’s also a reminder of why I do what I do.
I’ve built my business around time and energy management, calm systems, and sustainable growth because I’ve learned the hard way what happens when you don’t.
And that’s exactly what I want for the designers I work with too! I’m a designer turned coach and mentor on a mission to make business feel lighter and more sustainable for interior designers.
As I close the membership doors until Spring, I’m so grateful to be finishing this launch feeling energised, not depleted. That’s a small victory in itself.
If you’ve been thinking about joining, this is your last chance until next year.
It’s tempting to wait until Spring, especially if you’re planning some time off over Christmas, but the designers joining now are setting themselves up for a strong, confident start in January.
Instead of a sluggish beginning to 2026, wading through that familiar post-holiday treacle, they’ll be hitting the ground running with intention, and with support.
This is quiet-season energy: the perfect time to sort, simplify, and consolidate before you go again.
We all do better in community. If you jump in today and commit to the work (rather than waiting until Spring), you’ll give yourself a five-month head start.

LISA LOVES
Because we all love a good recommendation. Here are mine:
What I’m reading: ‘The Know’. It’s a daily news update that helps you start your day feeling informed and hopeful. It’s free and feels like a calmer way to consume the news. You can sign-up here*
Watching: The Celebrity Traitors. I’m very late to the party but hooked! It’s the final tonight. Eeek. Also, if you love Christmas, follwo Hannah @jollyfestive on Instagram for brilliant festive makess like this ginger bread house garland
What I’m listening to: This is a sneaky listen as it’s actually a book The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins on Audible. I think it’s genuinely life-changing — I’ll be re-listening as soon as I finish.
*This is my personalised code so if you do decide to sign-up I might get some some goodies.
Next week sees the return of the Insider Scoop with the fabulous Chloe Bullock. If you haven’t read it before, it’s a ‘behind-the-scenes-warts-and-all’ from real life interior designers. Make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss out.
p.s. doors to the membership close at midnight tonight. Join here.
